Smart OTP is additional security feature to prevent any unauthorised access to your internet banking account as well as a mode of authentication for transactions and various other activities in internet banking application.

How is SMART OTP useful?

The best use of SMART OTP is to avoid any inconveniences/ delays on account of non-receipt of online OTP due to carrier congestions and/or any other reasons. With SMART OTP, you can process your transactions without any delays and dependencies.

How to Register for SMART OTP?

• Select ‘Register for SMART OTP’ link on the login page of SBI Sri Lanka Internet banking.

• Complete the registration process to receive an email on your registered mail id with the bank.

• Download Ca mobile OTP Application from Google play store or Apple store as per directions in the mail.

• Open the downloaded Application and enter the URL which is mentioned in email

• Enter User Id which is mentioned in email

• Enter Activation Code which is mentioned in email

• Now you can create 4-digit PIN (numeric) of your choice

• You can generate SMART OTP after fresh login to the application using your PIN each time

How to set ‘SMART OTP’ as the preference for OTP in internet banking?

Select General ServicesàOtp Preference and select ‘Smart OTP’ as your preference. Alternatively, click on your username on right hand top corner and select ‘set Otp preferences’ for making Smart OTP as your default preference.
